The Merton team scored a decisive victory over their opponents, coming away winners with an impressive 210 points to Wolfson's 40.

We are pleased to provide this update to what has been a challenging couple of weeks for students, families, and teachers as well as admissions teams both here at Oxford and at other UK Universities.

We are delighted to announce that the Regius Professorship in Mathematics at the University of Oxford will become a permanent fixture at the College.

It is with great sadness that the College has learned of the death of Emeritus Fellow Dr Jim Coulton.

Professor Prag, Tutor in Ancient History, has received the Building Capacity Award at the annual Vice-Chancellor’s Innovation Awards, which recognise and celebrate high-quality research-led innovation at all levels.

Three Merton DPhil students, part of a team working to develop an efficient testing strategy that could be used to contain COVID-19 in developing countries, have been awarded a research grant which will fund a project to trial the strategy in Mexico.

The Revd Dr Melanie Marshall has been appointed as the college's Associate Chaplain and Career Development Researcher, becoming the first woman to hold a chaplaincy at Merton.

The Merton College Girl Choristers have joined others from across the UK in a video for The Friends of Cathedral Music which is raising funds to help cathedral choirs survive.
