Conferences: Dining at Merton

All meals are all served in the magnificent Hall, which was built in 1277. Entering through the original wrought iron oak door, you follow in the footsteps of many historic figures that have enjoyed Merton’s hospitality over the centuries, including Queen Elizabeth I. The Hall can seat up to 150 guests in the traditional College style seating.

Conference attendees enjoy:

  • Extensive breakfast selections;
  • Buffet-style lunch; and
  • A two-course conference dinner served in Hall each evening.

Special banquet menus can be arranged on request at an additional charge.

Our Steward will be only too pleased to discuss wine requirements for dinner.

All meals are freshly prepared in the College kitchens, using only the finest ingredients, locally sourced whenever possible.

Drinks receptions can be arranged either on one of the College lawns (subject to the weather), in a College reception room, or in the ante-chapel.

Please complete our enquiry form, email us, or call us on (+44) 01865 276327 to discuss your requirements.
