DPhil student Francesca Lovell-Read, who is currently working on the Oxford COVID-19 Government Response Tracker, has had her first academic paper published - and she credits the work of her tutor Professor Radek Erban as "a big influence on my decision to pursue a DPhil in biological modelling."

Ehud Hrushovski, Merton Professor of Mathematical Logic, has been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society. Professor Hrushovski is a mathematical logician, concerned with mapping the interactions and interpretations among different mathematical worlds.
