Merton postgraduate student Helen Craske has won the R Gapper Postgraduate Essay Prize - the major prize for graduate work in French studies in the UK, awarded by the Society for French Studies.

Mertonian wins European Physical Society award for Plasma Physics thesis
Former Merton DPhil student Dr Archie Bott (2015) has been awarded the EPS Plasma Physics Division PhD Research Award 2020. Archie receives the award for his thesis, ‘Magnetic-field amplification in turbulent laser-plasmas’.

Merton has become the latest Oxford organisation to sign up to the Movement's Rough Sleeping Charter, as well as committing to make an annual donation for the next five years in support of the Movement's efforts.

Third-year undergraduate Sam Gibbs has been accepted onto the Frontline Leadership Development Programme, an intensive two-year programme that gives graduates the necessary training and opportunities to develop the skills needed to be a social worker.
