‘Voci di pietra’ - Dr Jonathan Prag curates new exhibition of Roman inscriptions
The exhibition, which has opened in Catania on the Italian island of Sicily, consists of some 35 inscriptions along with sculptures and a set of frescoes from the collection of the city's Civic Museum.

Miguel Walsh invited to address 2018 International Congress of Mathematicians
Merton's Special Fellow in Mathematics will address the August 2018 Congress in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Although formally not an award, an invitation to speak at an ICM is viewed in the mathematical world as an outstanding honour.

Mertonian wins Thomas Henry Huxley Award and Marsh Prize for zoology thesis
Alumnus Shan Quah (2011) was awarded the prize for the best PhD thesis in a zoological subject from any UK University for the year 2016 by the Zoological Society of London at a ceremony in London on Tuesday 20 June.

Third-year Biomedical & Clinical Sciences DPhil candidate Andreas Hadjinicolaou was named joint winner of the Ralph Steinman Memorial Prize for Immunology Research at the 2017 Advanced Immunology Summer School.
