Cuckoos vs Hosts: an Evolutionary Arms Race
The 2018 Tinbergen Society Lecture
Speaker: Professor Nick Davies FRS
The Tinbergen Society were delighted to welcome Professor Nick Davies FRS, world-renowned behavioural ecologist, to Merton College to speak on the subject of his greatest work: cuckoo and host co-evolution. As recipient of the Frink Medal, the Hamilton Prize and the Croonian Medal, and as author of defining scientific and popular science texts, Nick has built his reputation as one of the leading researchers in his field.
Nick gave a talk on what he has learned over his 40-year career as a field naturalist, and the audience then had an opportunity to ask questions relating to his field.
