Ukrainian Doctoral Scholarship
The rapid and devastating escalation of conflict in Ukraine has been felt keenly globally. As always, Merton students are eager to support those in need. We aspire urgently to raise £204,000, which will establish a full DPhil scholarship for a student ordinarily resident in Ukraine before the war.
This scholarship will offer a world-class education to someone displaced by the conflict. We have already succeeded in establishing a Master’s scholarship and hosting an at-risk academic from Ukraine (following from our previous support for a Syrian academic). The scholarship will contribute to our diverse and supportive community at Merton, where students from around the world can find solace and safety and undertake their academic work in peace.
