Prof Woodroffe has been studying badgers and bovine tuberculosis (TB) for over four decades, in which time it has risen to become one of the most controversial and high-profile disease management cases in the UK. Over 30,000 cattle are slaughtered from TB each year, and over 130,000 badgers have been culled in the ongoing farmer-led Government-licensed scheme.

The college will be open free of charge for visitors as part of the Oxford Open Doors event.
