David Paterson made Fellow of the American Physiological Society

David Paterson, Tutor in Pre-Clinical Medicine and Professor of Cardiovascular Physiology, has been named as a Fellow of the American Physiological Society (APS).

Founded in 1887, the APS is a global leader in expanding knowledge related to biological function. The Society connects a multidisciplinary community of nearly 10,000 scientists and educators from around the world, driving collaboration and spotlighting scientific discoveries in physiology and related disciplines. The rank of Fellow is an elite member status reserved to honour distinguished leaders who have demonstrated excellence in science, have made significant contributions to the physiological sciences and served the Society.

"It is a pleasure to be one of the first UK physiologists to have received this honour" said Professor Paterson.
