MC3 Reunion and University of Oxford Alumni Weekend in San Francisco

For the first time in recent years the annual MC3 meeting and Reunion Weekend was held on the west coast of the United States, in San Francisco. The annual MC3 meeting, academic talks featuring the Vice-Chancellor, a Tolkien exhibition, and a special dinner for Mertonians on Saturday evening were among the events that took place, in conjunction with the University’s Alumni Weekend in North America.

There was a dinner on Saturday evening for Mertonians to honor Sir Martin and Lady Taylor at the home of Mr and Mrs Michael McCaffery (1975). The weekend also marked the final visit of Sir Martin and Lady Taylor to the US and North America before Sir Martin retires as Warden of Merton later in the year.
