In 2002 the Oxford Philharmonic Orchestra was appointed Orchestra in Residence at the University of Oxford, in a partnership unique amongst British orchestras. This partnership marries the prestige of one of the world's most revered academic institutions with a vibrant programme of performance and education initiatives by the city's professional orchestra. Now in its 15th year, the relationship continues to provide a unique environment for music-making. This concert marked the start of the next exciting chapter as the orchestra celebrated in the company of Oxford students, academics and alumni.
