Dr Thomas Franchi

Stipendiary Lecturer in Surgery
Research

I am a Specialised Academic Foundation Programme doctor based at the John Radcliffe Hospital. I work full-time clinically, but my current research efforts focus on head and neck cancer and new technologies to predict their presence and/or recurrence.

Teaching

At Merton, I deliver the surgical tutorials for the clinical medical students, both on and off the wards. I also teach at DPAG, as a Demonstrator in Anatomy for the pre-clinical medical students. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and a Member of the Academy of Medical Educators.
