Sustaining Excellence Campaign reaches milestone of £24m

We are delighted to announce that we have reached the £24m milestone towards the £30 million target of our 750th Anniversary Campaign, Sustaining Excellence. This equates to:

• £10.7m towards securing the Tutorial System;
• £5.7m to support both undergraduate and graduate students;
• £4.7m to protect and resource our historic buildings; and
• £2.9m of unrestricted funds towards those projects where the money is needed most.

This is an outstanding achievement and an important milestone in our £30m fundraising campaign. Our thanks go out round the world to all Mertonians and Friends of the College whose generosity has enabled us to get this far. This year alone over 31% of Mertonians have supported the Campaign – a great endorsement of our fundraising effort. The hard work is not yet over though, and we have a further £6 million to raise by the end of 2014. With your support, we can continue to be at the cutting edge of educational and scientific achievements in today's changing world.
