College Choir to broadcast Choral Evensong

On Wednesday 20 November, Merton College Choir broadcast Choral Evensong live on BBC Radio 3 at 3:30pm. The service marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Britten: both the Hymn to St Cecilia and Prelude and Fugue on a theme of Vittoria were included. The Responses were sung to Matthew Martin's setting (commissioned by Merton College for the Merton Choirbook) and the canticles were Francis Jackson's setting in G.
