A selection of remarkable books and manuscripts, ranging from the earliest observations of Oxford weather to the fantastical automata of medieval Arab courts to the world of Middle Earth, marked the 750th anniversary of the foundation of Merton College. All items displayed relate to the intellectual versatility and collecting interests of past Mertonians and are now preserved in the Bodleian Library.
