To celebrate the feast of Pentecost, a Eucharist and Dinner to which all Mertonians—particularly those who were involved in the life of the Chapel and/or sang in the Choir—were invited to join current members of the College. The preacher, Bishop Tom Wright (1975), a distinguished New Testament theologian and former Bishop of Durham, was a Junior Research Fellow and Junior Chaplain at Merton.
