Miserere MacMillan
In this juxtaposition of works from the renaissance and the modern day, Oxford-based chamber choir, E45, presented two settings of text from the Lamentations of Jeremiah alongside two powerful settings of Psalm 51 - the Miserere. Whilst the music is imprecatory, it also creates an overriding feeling of contemplation, hope, and optimism.
