The 2015 London Lecture was given by Merton Junior Research Fellow in the History of Art, Dr Emily Guerry, on 'Sacred Paintings in the Loire Valley'. Dr Guerry has been surveying the Saint Maurille murals—the largest and best-preserved Gothic paintings in the Loire Valley—which were uncovered in the choir of Angers Cathedral in 1980 in a remarkably well-preserved state.
