MC3 Reunion and University of Oxford Alumni Weekend in Washington, DC

The Merton College Charitable Corporation (MC3) held its annual get-together in Washington, DC in April, to coincide with the University of Oxford Reunion.

Friday 12 April – A reception in the Patrons Lounge of the Shakespeare Theatre in the Harman Center for the Arts was followed by dinner at 7:30pm at Carmine’s.

Saturday 13 April (daytime) – The day started with the MC3 Annual Meeting in The Forum at the Shakespeare Theatre in the Harman Center for the Arts. We then joined the Oxford luncheon and academic sessions at the nearby Willard Hotel, which featured talks by the Vice-Chancellor and Merton’s Warden-Elect Professor Irene Tracey (1985), among others.

Saturday 13 April (evening) – All Mertonians and guests were invited to the MC3 Reception and Dinner at the Metropolitan Club, kindly arranged by Jonathan Clarke (1966).

Sunday 14 April – Marla and Nick Allard (1974) kindly invited Mertonians to their home and garden for brunch.
