A talk by Professor Alastair Hay of Leeds University.

Professor Hay is Professor of Environmental Toxicology at Leeds University. Among his interests are the effects of exposure to chemical warfare agents, and field investigation of alleged chemical warfare incidents.

He has worked with the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons on outreach and engagement and is well placed to comment on its work, which has led the news agenda following the award of the 2013 Nobel Peace Prize and the ongoing process to dismantle Syrian chemical weapons.
