'Ad usum communem': The medieval libraries of Merton College and Sorbonne College through their scientific collections

With the help of manuscripts and other medieval sources, Laure Miolo, a visiting scholar from the University of Lyon 2/Bibliothèque Nationale de France and currently Humfrey Wanley Fellow at the Bodleian Libraries, investigated the medieval library activities and customs at Merton and the Sorbonne in a comparative perspective to emphasize analogies and differences between Oxford and Paris.

Manuscripts from the Merton Library were displayed.
