Passiontide at Merton: A New Compline

Ted Mair, Alex Little and Alex Ho composers

This service brought together four world premières within the contemplative setting of compline. The works performed were composed by Ted Mair and Alex Little, currently studying at Oxford, and Alex Ho, a postgraduate student at Cambridge. Alongside these three works was the winner of a composition competition. The meeting of ancient chants with contemporary composition was at once challenging and meditative.
