Organ Recital | Howard Skempton's 50 Preludes and Fugues for Organ, Book 2 (world premiere)

Following the world premiere of Howard Skempton’s 50 Preludes and Fugues for Organ, Book 1 in 2021, Matthew Owens presents the world premiere of Book 2 as part of the Passiontide Festival at Merton College, Oxford. Skempton, who celebrated his 75th birthday last October, is one of the UK’s most highly respected composers. He has been commissioned by, among others, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, Ensemble Bash, and the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group.
