I am a consultant psychiatrist (FRANZCP) and the Founder and Medical Director of Esus Centre in Perth, Western Australia, a licensed psychiatric day hospital specialising in complex mental health presentations. Esus is the first integrated day hospital in Australia to bring psychiatry, psychology, dietetics, nursing, general practice and social work under one roof.
My work centres on value-based healthcare and outcomes-focused psychiatry. Esus is the first mental health organisation globally to achieve ICHOM Level 1 Accreditation, and I am passionate about using outcomes measurement to improve care and to shape how mental health services are funded and delivered.
I completed an MSc in Global Healthcare Leadership at Oxford's Saïd Business School in May 2026, and I am planning a part-time DPhil on implementing value-based healthcare in Australian mental health services.
As a mentor, I can offer insight into clinical leadership, building and scaling a healthcare organisation, entrepreneurship in health, and combining clinical practice with research and system-level change. I would be glad to support Merton alumni and students considering careers in medicine, psychiatry, healthcare leadership or health innovation.
