Susanna Curtis (1982)
Susanna is an artistic director, choreographer, dancer and actor working in Nuremberg. While at Merton, she was heavily involved in the theatre scene, putting her dance interest into practical application. She then went on to study at the Rotterdam Dansacademie Conservatoire, and started working in Ulm, Germany.
After a period at the municipal theatre in Regensburg, she moved to Nuremberg working for various independent companies and state theatres, before founding her own dance-theatre companies, Curtis & Co. - dance affairs and EveryBody - inclusive dance, which produce annual dance-theatre productions and tour around the world. She is a board member of various dance initiatives and an arts advisor for various projects. Alongside her theatre work, she is as a professional hospital clown, providing laughter and humour in hospitals, hospices, and retirement homes.
