Stephen Oppenheimer (1975)

Former Professor of Neurology and Cardiology

Stephen studied Physiological Sciences at Merton College, followed by medical studies at Guy’s Hospital. After five years in the UK, he worked as an SHO and Registrar at St Mary’s, UCH, and the National Hospital. Stephen then moved to Canada, where he became a Resident in Neurology at the University of Western Ontario (UWO), as well as a Post-doctoral Research Fellow and American Heart Foundation Fellow at UWO. Following this, he joined Johns Hopkins University as a Professor and Attending Physician in Neurology, with an additional appointment in Cardiology. He holds MRCP, FRCP, FRCPC, FACP, FACC, and other qualifications.
