Rt Revd Dr NT (Tom) Wright
Tom Wright, a native of Northumberland, taught New Testament for 20 years, and worked as a College Chaplain, before becoming Dean of Lichfield (1994-99), Canon of Westminster (2000-2003), Bishop of Durham (2003-2010) and Professor of New Testament at St Andrews (2010-2020). He is now Senior Research Fellow at Wycliffe Hall. He is the author of over 80 books, both academic and popular, has broadcast and lectured widely, and has held visiting professorships at many institutions including Harvard Divinity School, the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and the Gregorian University in Rome. Tom is married to Maggie and they have four adult children and six grandchildren. He lists music, poetry, golf and the Isle of Harris among his keen interests.
