Robin Williams (1975)

Non-executive Chairman of public companies

With my Engineering Science Degree under my belt, like so many engineers, I qualified as an ACA and went into the City as a corporate finance adviser to small and medium size companies assisting with their plans to go public, raise equity and mergers and acquisitions.

Building on this experience, I spent a second decade either co-founding and building up my own public company, or turning round the poor performance of another.

The twin towers tragedy of 2001 formed a turning point for me and was followed by a long and continuing career in joining boards as Non-executive Director or Chairman.

Diverse sectors and ownerships, private, Government-owned, family-owned but always with a public company component.
