Rob Lewis (1973)

Consultant, Governor and Trustee of various charities

After graduating from Oxford in 1976, I gained an MSc in Operational Research and joined Shell in 1977. I remained at Shell my whole career, working in a series of different assignments each of about 3 years, in operational research, brand marketing, corporate planning, business consultancy, and project management. I retired in 2013.

My major project upon retiring was to study for a PhD in Mathematics with the Open University, which I achieved in 2021.

My pro bono work now consists of consulting and volunteering for various charities. I am a volunteer consultant and mentor with the Cranfield Trust, providing pro bono business consultancy and mentoring support to small- and medium-sized social charities. I am an external governor and vice chair on the board of the Windsor Forest Colleges Group (a group of four further education and sixth form colleges). Finally, I am a Trustee on the board of Trauma Treatment International; a UK-based charity with the mission to heal the trauma of people affected by torture, trafficking and slavery, persecution and war, wherever they are in the world. I am a keen runner and photographer, and am also still researching some niche areas of graph theory.
