Phillipa Hopkins (1989)

I was brought up in Cambridge and attended a private girls' day school. I read the BA and the BCL at Merton, and taught as a lecturer at Merton for a year whilst studying the Bar course. I joined Essex Court Chambers as a pupil in 1994 and have been there ever since, taking silk in 2018. My practice is entirely commercial (litigation and arbitration). I am married to Eddie (MSt in Theology at Merton, 1992) and we have three sons, now aged 22, 20 and 11. We live in Buckinghamshire and I enjoy reading, country walks, theatre/music and cooking.
