I read PPE at Merton and entered the City in 1981. My focus as an investment banker over the next 30+ years was on corporate finance (M&A and capital markets). My clients included major financial institutions – banks, insurers, asset and wealth managers – in the UK, Continental Europe and Asia. In 2017 I left the world of investment banking to run a fintech business, which became a unicorn and was subsequently sold to a competitor.
Currently, I am semi-retired and stay involved in the worlds of finance and fintech as a senior adviser at a corporate finance firm in London. I split my time between London and Virginia in the USA.
