Krešimir Vuković (2011)
Assistant Professor of Classics
Krešimir Vuković is Assistant Professor at Charles University in Prague. He has worked in five countries and at six academic institutions. He received his doctorate in Classics from the University of Oxford, where he also taught classical languages and literature for several years. He has held research positions at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice and the British School at Rome, and was an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow at LMU Munich. He is the author of *Wolves of Rome: The Lupercalia from Roman and Comparative Perspectives* (De Gruyter, 2022) and *The Living Streams: Rivers as More-than-Human Entities in the Ancient World* (Cambridge University Press, 2026). He is currently Principal Investigator of a project on ancient rivers in the wider Mediterranean world, funded by the Primus programme at Charles University. He also runs the Substack publication *Myth and Mystery*.
