I was born and raised in London, then educated at Tottenham Grammar School, Merton, and Columbia University.
I have worked for NM Rothschild and Sons, Roberts Union Company, English Speaking Union New York Branch, Narramore and Tozer Ltd, Marymount Manhattan College (as a lecturer), and Hunter College (as a studio assistant). Then followed Organization Resources Counselors (author of ORC report Human Resources for Multinationals in China), Equitable Life, and AXA Technology Services.
My autobiography Making Other Plans (2022) is available on request. My book on pottery, The Magic and the Mystery, has also been recently published.
