Hello! I'm Jess and I've spent my career post-Merton helping students and graduates take the first steps in their career. I've worked in and led graduate and early career recruitment in both the investment banking and tech sectors, and now I am COO of Rewriting the Code, a global non-profit providing development, support and training for women in tech.
My own route from studying History into the corporate world, scale-up space, and now the charitable sector means I know that careers rarely follow a straight line. I especially enjoy working with those who are interested in fields unrelated to their degree or previous role - helping them identify transferrable skills, finding alternative ways to develop experience, and building the confidence to step into unfamiliar spaces.
I'm a committed advocate for accessibility and inclusion, so whether it's helping people figure out what they want to do, or how to get there, I always strive to be helpful in any way I can.
