Ian Andrews (1983)

Linklaters partner for 22 years and leader of infrastructure practice; non-executive director and Advisory Board member

After studying Law at Merton, Ian had a career as a solicitor working for two of the largest law firms in the world, Freshfields and Linklaters, in London, Frankfurt and Berlin. He was a partner at Linklaters for 22 years and leader of the firm’s infrastructure practice for 18 years until he ceased full-time legal practice in April 2022.

His career enabled him to work in almost every country in Europe and several beyond. He is now a non-executive director of Athens International Airport and of one of the leading baroque orchestras, The English Concert, dividing most of his time between the UK and Greece (being a citizen of both). Ian is also now a member of the Advisory Council of the British Museum.

Now that he has left full time practice, Ian can indulge his passion for travel, music, and outdoor sports.
