I am a senior legal counsel and EU Official specialising in international financial institutions, central bank innovation, technology governance, and public policy. Currently, I serve as Counsel at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel, where I advise on Innovation Hub projects, artificial intelligence operational guardrails, cloud infrastructure risk assessments, and global central bank legal convenings.
Alongside my role at the BIS, I remain an established Official at the European Commission (currently on leave), where I have served as a Policy and Legal Officer leading multilateral negotiations and digital procurement frameworks. Earlier in my career, I worked as a Legal Officer at the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) Board of Appeal in Helsinki, managing complex regulatory and scientific litigation.
In addition to my Magister Juris from Merton College (2010–2011), I hold an LL.M. Dual Degree in EU Law and Litigation from the Universities of Luxembourg and Strasbourg, a Bachelor of Laws from Democritus University of Thrace, and executive education credentials in cybersecurity and public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
Having lived and worked across seven countries—and as my family and I prepare for an upcoming move to Hong Kong—I am keen to support Mertonians pursuing international careers. I am happy to offer practical guidance on navigating the EU civil service and international organizations, working at the intersection of law, science, and emerging technologies, and managing global relocations alongside family life.
