David Liebowitz (1996)

David Liebowitz is a researcher and engineering manager with significant experience in the defence technology and broadcast industries. After earning a DPhil in Computer Vision from Oxford and completing postdoctoral research at KTH in Stockholm, he moved to Australia in 2000 to work for ANU startup Seeing Machines. Following a period as a consultant, he joined Mediaware, a Canberra-based video technology company, where he eventually served as Engineering Director through its acquisition and integration by General Dynamics. He worked for M5 Northrop Grumman in software and research management roles and then joined Penten in 2016. He is currently Principal Technologist at Penten and has an adjoint academic position at UNSW Sydney, working in cyber deception and post-quantum cryptography.
