Charles Graham (2013)
I graduated from Merton with a congratulatory first-class honours degree in Classical Archaeology & Ancient History in 2017, although I spent most of my university career working on start-ups through Oxford Entrepreneurs and running nightclubs!
Since leaving Oxford, I have spent most of my career at Serco (the world's only company solely focussed on supporting governments), with a short break running a start-up back in Oxford. I was Serco's first graduate trainee, Serco's youngest general manager (launching Edinburgh's Cycle Hire Scheme), and youngest member of the UK & Europe executive leadership team as the Chief of Staff & Head of Strategy. My last role at Serco was as Impact Partnership Director, Serco Group where I led innovation across the world – focussed on building technology partnerships and running start-up innovation pilots - and reported to the Global CEO.
Since August 2024, I have been studying for my MBA in America, and am now exploring an entrepreneurial venture with co-founders in the US.
Outside work, I previously chaired the board of a small arts charity (SANSARA), play saxophone in a jazz band, write music in a pop band, DJ badly, and enjoy trying new wines and food.
