Carl Anglim is the Founder and Director of Oxford Fashion Studio. After reading jurisprudence at Merton College, University of Oxford, he chose an entrepreneurial rather than legal career, founding Oxford Fashion Week shortly after graduating. This later developed into Oxford Fashion Studio, which has produced runway programmes during the major fashion weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris and supported more than 800 independent designers from over 70 countries.
His experience spans entrepreneurship, business development, creative industries, event production, partnerships and building organisations from an early stage. He is particularly interested in helping people think through unconventional career paths, turning ideas into viable organisations, leadership, and navigating the transition from university into professional life.
Alongside his work in fashion, Carl spent more than 14 years supporting Oxfordshire Youth, including six years as Chair, during which the charity grew substantially in scale and impact. He now serves as a Vice President. In the 2024 New Year Honours, he was awarded the Medal of the Order of the British Empire for services to young people.
Carl remains closely interested in mentoring emerging talent and in how strong organisations can create opportunity for others. Outside work, he enjoys skeleton and luge and lives in central London.
