Prior to and after graduating, I did some work experience in the media and set up as a freelance journalist, translator, and author writing from (and primarily about) Germany. In 2026, after almost 20 years working for myself, I went into full-time employment as a trade journalist covering an area of lasting fascination to me since childhood: the railway.
