Simon Hooker made a 2014 Fellow of the Optical Society of America

Merton's Professor in Physics Simon Hooker has been made a 2014 Fellow by The Optical Society of America. The award was made in recognition of Professor Hooker's research into short-pulse laser interactions with matter and, in particular, the development and applications of plasma waveguides for high-intensity laser pulses.
