Mertonian set to row 200 miles across the Mediterranean

July 2015

This Saturday, 18 July, Mertonian Stephanie Jones (2009) sets out on a gruelling 200-mile journey rowing across the Mediterranean Sea in aid of The HPV and Anal Cancer Foundation.

Stephanie, who learned to row whilst at Merton, will be rowing from Ibiza to Barcelona as part of Team NOMAN: The NOMAN campaign aims to raise awareness of the HPV-related cancer epidemic in men and women, and campaigns for universal HPV vaccination, while challenging participants to extreme endurance races across the world.

You can support Stephanie and team NOMAN via their fundraising page and join this Facebook group where Stephanie will be posting updates, answering questions and where you will be able to track the progress of the boat (fitted with a GPS tracker) when the row beings.
