The Accession to the Throne of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan, Naruhito

A message from the Warden, Professor Irene Tracey:

"Today is a special day for Merton College. We are celebrating the Enthronement of an alumnus, Naruhito 徳仁 (1982) as Emperor of Japan. To mark the occasion the college flag is being flown all day and the chapel bells are being rung at 1:15pm. We hope you will join us in wishing the new Emperor every happiness and good health in the years to come."
