Accession of the Emperor of Japan

The College flag is being flown today, and the Chapel bells will be rung at 1:15pm, to mark the accession of HIH Crown Prince Naruhito of Japan to the Chrysanthemum Throne.

Emperor Naruhito studied for an MLitt in History at Merton College, matriculating in 1983.
