Merton College Net Zero Group
The Merton College Net Zero Group—founded in 2022 by Dr Matt Vickers (1990), Ria Miller (2008), and Nagadarsan Suresh (2021)—brings together Mertonians, students and alumni alike, to share perspectives on the challenges of decarbonisation and reaching net zero.
The Group has an active LinkedIn community of almost 100 members, which provides an opportunity for alumni, students, and staff to discuss and network on all things ‘net zero’. Get in touch with the Development Office to join!
Each year the committee holds an event for students, staff, alumni, and guests. Please find below the recording for our latest event, when Merton College hosted Patrick Begg—Outdoors and Natural Resources Director at the National Trust—to speak on why land use plays such a crucial role in tackling climate change.
