For the climax of the 750th anniversary Passiontide at Merton festival, an outstanding team of soloists appeared with Oxford Baroque and the College Choir for a performance of JS Bach’s monumental masterpiece the St Matthew Passion. It was a particular pleasure to welcome back Dame Emma Kirkby, who sang with the College Choir during her time as a student at Oxford.
