Professor Steven Gunn (1979), the Acting Warden, Tutor in History and Professor of Early Modern History did us the honour of speaking on 'The Perils of Education in Tudor England'. Professor Gunn related his experiences leading the College as Acting Warden to his ongoing research on accidental death in Tudor England. In the sixteenth century more people than ever before were learning to read, to swim, to play a sport or to practise a trade, but what dangers did they face?
