The Autumn meeting of the Golf Society will take place at Studley Wood Golf Club. Studley Wood, where the society played for the first time last year, is located about six miles north-east of Oxford and is accessible from both the A34 and the M40 or from Oxford via the Headington roundabout. The course was opened in 1996 and is a Srixon/Cleveland Centre of Excellence with excellent practice facilities. It is also a host venue to the EuroPro Tour.
We will be meeting for coffee and bacon rolls from around 11:00 with the first tee at 12:04pm. We will be playing a Stableford competition off full handicap with an engraved tankard for the winner and runner-up. All Merton alumni golfers are welcome to come whether or not they have played with the Society before and new members will be most warmly welcomed. Members may also invite guests to play in the meeting which will be followed by a dinner in College. Rooms will also be available for those wishing to stay the night in College.
If you would like to play golf at the Autumn meeting then please contact Bill Ford (1975), giving him your golf handicap and matriculation year so that groups can be made up. Bill will be collecting green fees for the golf on the day.
If you and your guests would also like to dine in College and/or stay the night then please click the link below.
Please note that you need to make two separate bookings: for golf and (optionally) for dinner.
