MC3 is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service code and all donations are tax deductible subject to standard IRS regulations. Donations may be made in cash, appreciated assets, by bequest, or through other estate planning mechanisms such as annuities, charitable trusts, life insurance etc.
Every gift made to the College is important in helping to strengthen and support the College’s future. The College is grateful for gifts of any size at any time. We are especially grateful to donors for undesignated gifts, which we shall apply to the areas of greatest need, and donations are currently encouraged for the projects outlined above.

The University of Oxford represents an educational institution specifically designated for charitable status under the Income Tax Act (Canada) and Regulations [Section 3503 thereto]. Gifts made by Canadian taxpayers to Merton College via the University of Oxford Development Trust are therefore fully tax-deductible.

Merton does not have a facility for online gifts, because of the rules governing tax-deductible gifts in Germany.

Hong Kong residents can make both single and regular donations to Merton via the University of Oxford China Office. Donations of more than HK$100 may be claimed for tax deduction purposes.
Please download and print a Hong Kong donation form and send it to the University of Oxford China Office, specifying Merton College as the recipient of your donation. Donations made in this way are forwarded to Merton on a regular basis by the University Development Office.
