One of the most brilliant organists of his generation, Daniel Hyde, attracted huge audiences for his complete survey of JS Bach's organ works which he played throughout the year 2014/15. This programme included seasonal works which showed the many contrasting sounds of the highly acclaimed Dobson organ. Maurice Duruflé’s Prelude et Fugue sur le nom d’Alain, which completed the programme, is a tribute to his friend and colleague Jehan Alain who died in combat in 1942.
